Preparing for Acron Aviation Academy

Acron is the current name to use when researching the former L3Harris commercial aviation training business. Check today's application guidance rather than assuming a historic selection format still applies.

Use the current academy information

The former L3Harris Commercial Aviation Solutions business became Acron Aviation in March 2025. Use Acron Aviation Academy's current application information to check the programme, entry requirements and next steps.

Older search results and preparation products may still use the L3 or L3Harris name. A historic name is not evidence that the same aptitude supplier or selection sequence applies to a current intake.

FlightDeck practice suggestions

Build useful foundations while you confirm the route

Practise numeracy, school-level physics, spatial orientation, recall, English comprehension and interpreting instructions. These are practical preparation areas while you obtain the programme-specific assessment guidance. Keep your preparation tied to errors you can identify and improve.

Ask for the current assessment guidance

The public sources reviewed here do not establish a sufficiently precise current provider and battery for us to claim a named assessment match. Ask the academy which familiarisation materials and equipment requirements apply to your intake. Do not select preparation solely because it carries a legacy provider label.

Give your preparation a structure

Start with the free test and review the explanations for errors. Choose one skill for a focused session, practise without time pressure until you understand the method, then add a timer. Keep a short record of errors caused by calculation, misreading, recall or time pressure.

Use assessment-day practice to work on sustained attention and task switching after the individual skills feel familiar. Review accuracy and pace separately. FlightDeck's original tasks provide practice feedback; the programme's own familiarisation should guide your understanding of its assessment.

Ready when you are

Start with skills you can practise.

Start with the free test, then choose focused drills and assessment-day practice for the skills you want to improve.
